Delighted to say...

I’m not quite sure how this happened but I’m delighted to say that If… Media has won a national award!

It’s official: I recently took delivery of a sparkling glass trophy, bearing my company logo and the title ‘Best Creative Communications Professional’ in the UK Enterprise Awards.

I often put together successful award nominations on behalf of my clients, but entering awards myself isn’t my thing. I’m not a big one for blowing my own trumpet. I know, I’m in the media business, so many would say I should put myself ‘out there’ -walk the walk, talk the talk and all that. Truth be told, I’m content to work behind the scenes most of the time, creating press releases, videos, copy and other content for the businesses and charities who entrust me to handle their public profile and engagement.

I have to confess, I didn’t put myself forward for this award either. I was contacted to say I’d been nominated, contacted again to say I’d been shortlisted, and was then told I was not only a finalist but the 2023 winner in this category. However it came about, I’m chuffed that out of all the communication agencies and freelancers in the UK, I’ve been given the rather cool title of Best Creative Communications Professional 2023.
